World Superbike Championship returns: the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team at Donington Park for the fifth round of the 2022 season

After a three-week break, the WorldSBK paddock is once again buzzing to prepare for the fifth round of the 2022 season, which will be staged at the picturesque Donington circuit near London (England)

Coming back from the resounding weekend in Misano, Alvaro Bautista and Michael Rinaldi want to be protagonists again in the Prosecco Doc UK Round that will kick off tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. local time (11:30 a.m. CEST) with the first free practice session
Race-1 is scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m. (3 p.m. CEST) while Sunday will feature the Superpole Race (11 a.m. CEST) and Race-2 (3 p.m. CEST)

Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati #19)
“I don’t want to talk about expectations or goals. We just want to start well from Friday on a track where I struggled a bit with my Ducati Panigale V4R three years ago. Now, however, the conditions are different: I know the tires and the bike, which has made a significant step forward compared to the 2019 machine. I just want to focus on getting the best possible result, also with the idea of having fun, without thinking about the difficulties that this circuit can present us.”

Michael Rinaldi (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati #21)
“Misano race weekend and the following test gave us great satisfaction. The desire to give continuity to those results is great. I’m sure I can be competitive even if Donington is historically not one of the best circuits for us. We are, however, in a positive mood and this conviction can also help us fight for the podium. We arrive in England focused and trained and I can’t wait to get started.”

For Nicolò Bulega and the Ducati Panigale V2 of the Aruba.it Racing WSSP team, it will be a real debut at the Donington circuit.

Nicolò Bulega (Aruba.it Racing WSSP #11).
“I had the chance to ride for the first time on this circuit a few weeks ago and I must admit that the first impact was positive. I liked the track: it is very technical and I hope it can adapt well to my riding style. We come from a positive period in which we had some good races. Even in Misano, the feelings were very good. So we are very determined and convinced that we can have a good weekend.”
